I'll overwhelm 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
